Joette Storm to speak March 4

Join us on March 4, when Joette Storm will discuss journalism and public relations. “We are all communicators,” says Storm. “We’ll discuss ethics and the similarities and differences between the two professions in upholding the ideas of truth, transparency and confidentiality. Journalists often refer to those who go to work in public relations as going to the ‘dark side’.”

More about Joette Storm
Joette Storm, APR, Fellow Public Relations Society of America, is a former reporter for the Chicago Tribune and long time Community Relations Manager for the Federal Aviation Administration Alaskan Region. In that capacity she served as agency liaison to the many publics served by and dependent upon the national aviation system.
A public servant for more than 30 years Joette’s career has focused on sharing information about Federal policy and programs for several departments including the U.S. Departments of Interior and Agriculture and Transportation. She initiated a number of successful public involvement programs and partnerships that resolved conflicts and achieved results.
Today Joette offers public relations counseling and communications training through Wordwright LLC, the company she owns with her husband, Gene.
