2010-2011 Luncheon Meeting Schedule
Alaska Professional Communicators meets for a luncheon on the first Thursday of each month. Meetings begin at 11:30 a.m. and are generally over between 12:30 and 1:00 p.m. APC is currently in the process of looking for a permanent meeting location.
- September 2 speaker: Charles Wohlforth, author of The Fate of Nature: Rediscovering Our Ability to Rescue the Earth; author of more, including The Whale and the Supercomputer.
- October 7: Alice Rogoff, publisher of AlaskaDispatch.com, an online magazine "committed to telling the story of Alaska and to promoting citizen journalism in the hope of helping to bridge Alaska's urban-rural divide."
- November 4: Andromeda Romano-Lax and Deb Vanasse speak on behalf of the 49 Alaska Writing Center (a non-profit undertaking for Alaska writers).
- December 2: Robin Bronen, Executive Director of the Alaska Immigration Justice Project, the only agency in Alaska dedicated to protecting the human rights of immigrants and refugees
