Join us in September
Join members of Alaska Professional Communicators as we network during our monthly luncheons and hear speakers of interest. There are no luncheons in July or August, but the fall line-up includes:
- September 2 speaker: Charles Wohlforth, author of The Fate of Nature: Rediscovering Our Ability to Rescue the Earth; author of more, including The Whale and the Supercomputer.
- October 7: Alice Rogoff, publisher of AlaskaDispatch.com, an online magazine "committed to telling the story of Alaska and to promoting citizen journalism in the hope of helping to bridge Alaska's urban-rural divide."
- November 4: Andromeda Romano-Lax and Deb Vanasse speak on behalf of the 49 Alaska Writing Center (a non-profit undertaking for Alaska writers).
- December 2: Robin Bronen, Executive Director of the Alaska Immigration Justice Project, the only agency in Alaska dedicated to protecting the human rights of immigrants and refugees

About Monthly Luncheon Meetings
Alaska Professional Communicators meets for a luncheon on the first Thursday of each month. Meetings are temporarily located at Kinley's Restaurant in Midtown (next to Moose's Tooth). Meetings begin at 11:30 a.m. See Luncheon Meeting Schedule.
Reservations are needed to meet our advance guarantee requirements at the restaurant. Making a reservation and failing to honor it commits the organization to paying for your lunch. A person who is a "no show" is expected to reimburse the organization for the cost of lunch.

Other ways to make lunch reservations
A week before the monthly luncheon meetings, the reservations chair sends an APC Email Express message, notifying all APC members and friends of APC with email addresses. Luncheon meeting notices include the name of the speaker, the speaker's topic and background information about the speaker. Special announcements are also made via APC Email Express messages.
Members and friends of APC may reserve places for lunch by simply replying in the affirmative to the email notice. All reservations are due to APC no later than 12 p.m. (noon) on the Monday before the regular first-Thursday monthly meeting. If you'd like to be added to the APC Email Express mailing list, please send an email message to APC via the Contact tab at the top of this page.
